In this role, you'll take ownership of your work, managing the delivery of key projects, and acting as a technical lead for the wider team. You'll design, build, and implement advanced pricing models while developing rating logic. As a technical expert and referral point, you'll handle a variety of complex pricing analyses, including data manipulation, predictive analytics, and model build and design. As a role model within the team, you'll actively support and mentor junior team members, improving their technical capabilities and contributing to the overall growth and success of the department. Your skills in statistical pricing techniques, software tools, and industry knowledge will help shape our pricing strategies, delivering data-driven recommendations that drive value. You'll manage and plan projects, ensuring timescales and outcomes are met, while managing your own work. By taking ownership of follow-up actions and stakeholder relationships, you'll play a vital role in delivering an effective service and driving positive outcomes for the team, NFUM and its members. As an ambassador for the Pricing team, you'll collaborate closely with internal and external teams, including data, modelling, wider pricing teams, projects, and underwriting, to contribute to our ongoing success and innovation. About you You're a highly skilled and proactive professional with a strong background in General Insurance Pricing analysis. You'll bring technical expertise and exceptional communication skills to the role. You demonstrate: Proven experience in data analysis, complex pricing analyses, price model development, and rating logic design, with proficiency in tools such as EMBLEM, Radar, R, or SQL being highly desirable Strong ability to motivate and support colleagues, fostering teamwork and assisting in the development of team members Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams across various projects and departments. Ability to present complex technical information clearly to audiences with varying levels of technical understanding, influencing and engaging key stakeholders effectively Experience in managing work streams, taking ownership of tasks, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
