About the Opportunity

Contentful is looking for a Principal Product Manager - Content Platform. This role will guide the evolution of the core of Contentful’s platform into the platform to support generative AI workloads. This role will be central in shifting the content platform concept from static data to dynamic data concept and drive the future strategy that is at the core of Contentful Content Management capabilities, notably including: Managed serverless content and data workloads Native content primitives and third-party data orchestration Content APIs and core content management concepts Platform AI capabilities and generative AI workloads and pipelines Contentful is committed to being the category-leading platform for AI-driven content management, allowing customers to manage content across brands, markets, channels, and specific audiences at unprecedented levels of granularity and consistency. Drawing from its API-first structured content legacy, Contentful is the best-positioned player to set the standard for how global brands can leverage AI to execute complex global marketing strategies. Contentful’s Principal PM - Content Platform is an experienced professional who previously managed platforms running flexible API first data transformation workloads. In this position, the candidate will also engage in the domain of information management topics like search and retrieval, knowledge graphs, and ontologies, including their relations with AI capabilities like RAG. This role works closely with product leadership, Founders, and C-level. This role might have 1-2 PMs reporting into it. Contentful works following an agile, cross-functional approach to product development, so the candidate should be familiar with and effective in this sort of environment. What to expect?

Develop and evolve a market strategy for a dynamic content platform through discovery and customer interactions. In partnership with Engineering, merge market and technological strategy into a cohesive product roadmap. Be an active party in build/buy decision making. Drive thought leadership initiatives in the area of content platform and workload automation. Lead and mentor other members of the product team. Develop relationships with key partners to co-engineer product strategy. Engage and communicate effectively with enterprise customers, creating strong feedback cycles in the product development process and establishing a customer-centric culture in the product organization, enabling the team to deliver both world-class enterprise software solutions and consumer-grade user experiences. What you need to be successful

Proven experience as a seasoned PM in a technical API first data workload or search product. Proven experience in developing product market strategy and launching new products on the market. Motivated to become a market and technology expert in the designated area. Comfortable being hands-on in driving change and getting into the engineering aspects when required. Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative working environment with internal and external stakeholders. A holistic thinker who can translate the vision into strategy and execution.
