Job title: Principal Radiation Physicist Job Type: Permanent Start date: Subject to Clearance Salary Range: Up to £60,000 Benefits Package: 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme - 6-8% Matched, Flexible start & Finish times. Location: Barrow-In-Furness Hybrid Working Available - 1-2 Days Per Week Hours of work: 37 Hours - Overtime (Double time for anything over two hours) Role & Responsibilities:

Supervise and conduct analysis and experiments to support system qualification Support progression of design optimisation Produce and review radiological safety justifications for proposed design solutions Direct development of in-house toolsets in support of the department goals Lead detailed shield design, balancing build requirements alongside system performance requirements Qualifications/Experience Required:

Relevant STEM degree in Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Nuclear Engineering Demonstrable experience of radiation transport codes such as MCNP/MCBEND/Attilla Understanding of radiation physics Experience of radiation safety studies & behaviours Experience of radiation metrology Knowledge of the ALARP principle UK National Security Vetting Status - Applicants must be able to obtain UKSV SC Clearance.
