About the role We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable individual to join our friendly team to help deliver an efficient and customer focused registration service.The main duties of the post include registering births and deaths in addition to conducting and registering marriages and civil partnerships.In this rewarding role you will be working with members of the public at key moments in their lives, and no two days are the same.About youA registration officer must have excellent customer care skills, be able to work accurately with meticulous attention to detail and also have a high level of computer literacy. Previous experience of working within a registration service is not a requirement as full and ongoing training will be given.Due to the expectations of the role, it is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate fluently in Welsh and English.The successful candidate will be required to attend ceremonies at various locations throughout Ceredigion, therefore they must provide their own transport.In addition to the contracted hours of the post, it is expected that the successful candidate will be regularly available to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays on a rota basis – for which additional payment will be made for these extra hours.Job Description and Person SpecificationInterviews will be held on the 18th January .For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Rhiannon Pugh (Superintendent Registrar) on: Note: We reserve the right to extend the application closing date.A Standard Check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be required for this post. ICT and Information Management: Archives and modern records; ICT support; Infrastructure and security; Project and application support; Reprographics, Technical support, Software development. Library Services Canolfan Rheidol Our Aberystwyth office, Canolfan Rheidol is an award winning building. The office, with its open plan design, provides an excellent space for collaborative working.
