We are looking for a highly skilled RF Process Engineer with strong expertise in the manufacture of RF assemblies, including processes such as die placement, wire/ribbon bonding, and plasma cleaning. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience, a proactive approach to continuous improvement, and the ability to manage both technical and people-related responsibilities effectively. About the role: We are seeking a Principal RF Process Engineer to lead an engineering team in our RF Assembly manufacturing facility in Bolton. This is a key leadership role combining people management, project oversight, and technical process expertise. You will manage the day-to-day operations of your team, ensuring timely delivery of projects and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role also involves ownership of state-of-the-art equipment and processes, supporting current programs, and introducing new products to meet time, cost, and quality targets. Additionally, you will work on emerging technologies and liaise with multiple teams to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage an engineering team, ensuring efficient workload distribution and timely project delivery Promote continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles Collaborate with design teams to optimise Design for Manufacture (DfM) during development and production phases Oversee equipment selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning, ensuring safe operation and compliance Investigate process non-conformance with Quality Engineers and implement corrective actions Develop and maintain key documentation, including specifications, operating procedures, and training records Provide training and support to operations staff for effective use of equipment and processes What we need from you: Formal Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 Strong working knowledge of RF assembly manufacturing, including processes like die placement, ATV/epoxy die attach, wire/ribbon bonding, plasma cleaning, and gap welding Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage team performance, conduct appraisals, and foster a high-performing culture A proactive mindset and a strong focus on process improvement Experience in both manual and automated environments is desirable If you would like to know more details about the position or want to register your interest, hit apply below.
