The South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is seeking a passionate, experienced, and visionary leader to serve as K-12 principal. This 10-month, full-time position with excellent benefits is located in Aberdeen, SD. The job requires a valid South Dakota teaching license and a master’s degree in educational administration. Job Highlights Supervise all day-to-day educational activities for students enrolled at the South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Encourage and support the development of innovative instructional programs. Monitor student progress and follow up with parents and teachers as needed. Monitor report cards. Schedule parent-teacher conferences. Conduct monthly faculty meetings. Provide supervision and evaluation for various staff and substitute staff. Conduct various staff evaluations following established timelines and format. Approve leave requests and arrange for substitutes. Preferred knowledge of: School administration experience. Knowledge of special education procedures and law preferred. Teaching experience with endorsement in visual impairment and special education preferred. Posting Date:
