Faslane Description Working with one of BakerHicks' key clients in the Nuclear sector, working in a highly regulated environment subject to strict security and safety requirements, this client provides customers with engineering and project management services, as well as digital services and solutions to optimize the performance of complex infrastructure projects throughout their life cycle.

You will join this client team as a Principal/ Senior Electrical Engineer, working onsite with their end client, supporting the upgrade and maintenance of facilities and future programs. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to author, develop, assess, and maintain Engineering Design Substantiation documents for their facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.

This role is a 12 month+ contract, and will require 3 days onsite at the end client facilities. Responsibilities Author, develop, assess, and manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents. Manage design changes/concessions and present design substantiations to safety committees. Develop Examination, Inspection, Maintenance & Testing (EIMT) schedules and safety reports. Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders and conduct Independent Technical Reviews. Apply engineering knowledge to design, develop, and maintain engineering processes and systems. Justify civil/structural design modifications in a high hazard industry. Review technical reports and safety case submissions. Requirements Experience in current design standards and practices, capable of contributing to concept design, detailed design, and construction stages across various electrical engineering projects. Experience in assessing electrical equipment for hazards and specifying systems for HV and LV networks. Theoretical and practical skills in design stages. Experience in assessing electrical equipment. Ability to justify design modifications. Current/ existing SC clearance. Willing and able to travel to site 3x per week. Many of the positions within our company are subject to security clearance. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by various factors. The successful candidate must currently hold SC security clearance for this role as required by our client.
