Principal Structural Engineer - Power & Renewable Energy

Glasgow First People Solutions is recruiting for a leading Consulting Engineer who require a talented Principal Structural Engineer to lead and oversee building projects within their Power & Energy team. Our client is a leading consultancy in this sector and do a great deal of exciting work globally. With increasing investment in clean energy, the sector offers long-term job security, making it an excellent time to consider this growing field. In this role, you will be engaged in a diverse array of captivating projects focused on building structures for wind site development, substation buildings and platforms, battery storage facilities, nuclear new build and many other energy schemes. You will lead the structural design of civil infrastructure across three core markets: renewables, grids & energy storage, and nuclear. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with extensive project management, client management, and civil structural design experience. What we need from you:
Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering Chartered status (CEng/IStructE) preferred or close to 5-8 years of experience working within a design engineering environment in the UK Strong knowledge of building structures such as steel, concrete, masonry, and timber Experience leading projects, engineering teams, and client facing Proficient with industry standards What's in it for you?
