What does this role involve day to day? Interpret legislations and lead working meetings with design engineers and suppliers to develop machine subsystems. Involvement in Risk Assessments and FMEA as necessary during the system definition phase. Responsible for developing subsystems conceptually through system specification documents, practical system development using Vector Tools and the opportunity to develop prototype control systems using Mathworks tool and dSpace prototyping hardware. Practical machine driving and parameter tuning / working with software and development engineers to develop machine subsystem controls. Compliance role responsible for External DVPSOR. Act as point of contact internally for engineers needing advice and assistance. Coordinating internal engineers to complete necessary testing and verify their evidence reports. Liaise with type approval agencies (and JCB’s retained consultant) for whole machine approvals. Act as a point of contact for Sales & Marketing / JCB dealers needing advice on machine type approval / machine registrations / application legislation queries, actioning requests or forwarding them to internal teams as appropriate. This will be suited to you if You have a degree in Engineering. Have specific experience in braking, steering and suspension systems with foundation engineering understanding and practical experience of development. What happens next?
