3b73dba9e75f Job Description: The Electronics Function in Edinburgh is looking for a dynamic individual who can undertake a Lead Firmware Engineer role to develop complex Firmware designs for Radars and Electro Optics Groups. Candidates are expected to have a degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with a specialism in FPGA techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of firmware, managing development activities through the project and engineering lifecycles, and delivering the final solution. The candidate will provide technical guidance for current and emerging FPGA design and verification techniques including VHDL, SystemVerilog, and UVM. This role is mainly office-based using display screen equipment, with occasional work in development labs and production environments. Depending on project security aspects, there may be an opportunity for remote working. Working to tight deadlines either on a regular or ad hoc basis will be required. Occasionally, travel within the UK and overseas with overnight stay may be required.
