Principal Business Intelligence Analyst . About the Role This senior position offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge business intelligence (BI) solutions while managing and inspiring a talented team of analysts. You will work on high-impact projects that align with the Health Board's strategic objectives, using data to drive improvements in patient care and operational performance. Main duties of the job

In this role, you'll: Lead and deliver transformative BI projects across the organization. Manage the Business Intelligence team, providing leadership, mentorship, and fostering a culture of excellence. Collaborate with senior leaders, clinicians, and operational teams to ensure BI solutions meet evolving strategic needs. Drive innovation by developing dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that inform decision-making at all levels. Champion data quality and governance, ensuring compliance with NHS and regulatory standards. We're looking for a strategic thinker with advanced technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities. You'll have: Proven experience in delivering BI solutions within a complex organization, ideally in healthcare. A track record of managing and developing teams, with excellent interpersonal and mentorship skills. Advanced knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Google Cloud Platform, Power BI, Tableau), SQL, and data visualization techniques. Strong communication skills to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making. A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in data analytics and BI practices. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. About us
