Duties/Responsibilities
Manage engineering production support activities ensuring efficient processing of concessions/production permits/source changes and incorporation of corrective/preventative actions. Analyse variations to specifications/engineering drawings which affect part form, fit, and function. This analysis will include performing tolerance, stress and metallurgical analysis. Support design assurance activities such as design reviews, MRB, & approval of Engineering documents. Manage regulatory aspects such as REACH and obsolescence activities impacting product design and ensuring specification compliance. Support project development teams ensuring the technical integrity of products. Attend and contribute to design reviews. Support/lead resolution of problem reports, FRACAS or Customer technical issues through the use of root cause analysis tools and processes. Support the mentoring and development of the engineering team. Tools/Equipment Used
Office 365, MsProject TK Solver / MathCAD QPulse Qualifications/Training Required
Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering. 10 years relevant mechanical engineering experience. Full driving licence. Must have an understanding of engineering materials and production methods – machining, light fabrication, assembly, surface treatments. Experience liaising with customers/suppliers.
