Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join a prison healthcare team in Durham. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference, delivering essential pharmacy services directly on prison wings and supporting the health and well-being of those in custody. With no clearance required, successful candidates can start almost immediately.

Role Responsibilities

Administer medications and provide vital pharmacy services directly on the prison wings. Work closely with healthcare staff to ensure medication is handled safely and stored securely. Offer guidance on prescriptions, stock management, and compliance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively and respectfully with both patients and colleagues on the wings, ensuring clear understanding of treatment plans.

What Hunter AHP Offers

Flexible Working Pattern: Three days per week, scheduled on a rota to accommodate availability. Competitive Hourly Pay: £18 - £23 per hour, through umbrella payment. Immediate Start: No prior clearance is needed, allowing for a quick and easy onboarding process.

Candidate Requirements

Registered Pharmacy Technician: GPhC registration and prior pharmacy experience are essential. Resilient and Adaptable: Able to thrive in a secure environment with diverse patient needs. Strong Communication Skills: Able to engage professionally and empathetically with patients and team members.
