be currently studying at University and undertaking a one year industrial placement as part of your course. You must be returning to University in September 2026. Role The Private Banking Team Assistant (TA) will primarily focus on providing pro-active support to a team of Private Banking Executives (PBE), Private Bankers (PB) and their portfolio of clients. They will support Private Bankers with client acquisition and retention via client contact but will primarily provide support in the preparation/submission of Know Your Client reviews, account opening and daily transaction reports. The PBE will act as a proxy for the PBE, representing him/her in meetings or communications. To place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules. Key responsibilities Client service and Sales support Manage account maintenance procedures – including account opening and account closing Providing basic support on credit matters as required, including monitoring the return of Facility letters, and completion of LMF/interest rate/fee forms Complete shadow postings daily Monitor, prepare and/or complete annual client reviews – maintaining client files in the process General Administration Preparing client communications Preparing account opening forms Responsible for keeping client records updated Instigating and maintaining client files Private Banker’s organisation Organising, maintaining and coordinating diaries for the PBs (including future planning of meetings, meeting preparation, planning for issues) Organise travel schedules Risk: Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures. Key Interfaces Working within the team Maintain excellent relationships with Operations, Treasury and Compliance Person Specification Knowledge / Experience Private banking or customer service experience preferred but not essential Strong interest in financial markets and HNW segment and market A curiosity to understand wealth management and banking products Multi-tasking capability Ability to work under pressure Qualifications / Skills Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications Experience with banking systems and CRM Salesforce (beneficial but not mandatory) Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role Excellent time management and organizational skills
