Location: Peterborough Salary: £40,000 - £60,000

A reputable law firm is seeking a qualified Solicitor specializing in Wills, Trusts, and Probate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in inheritance tax planning and providing professional, empathetic client support. This position requires a commitment to uphold the highest standards in legal practice, professionalism, and client service, ensuring compliance with the Law Society's Quality Standards and the firm's Office Procedures Manual.

Client Service & Case Management:

Deliver professional, accurate, and timely advice to clients, adhering to the Law Society's professional conduct standards. Manage client communications effectively, ensuring prompt responses and proper documentation. Consistently bring matters to conclusion, ensuring cases are resolved efficiently.

Billing & Financials: Obtain payments prior to credit control and conduct invoicing for responsible matters. Achieve billing targets while ensuring all financials are handled accurately.

Business Development: Market the firm's services to existing and new clients, cross selling the full range of legal services. Maintain and build professional relationships, providing ongoing support to clients and strengthening the firm's reputation.

Professional Development & Compliance: Maintain continuous professional development and stay current with changes in law, practice, and procedures. Follow firm procedures and contribute to the refinement of office processes as needed. Ensure accurate use of IT systems in line with the firm's policies, fully complying with all IT guidelines.

Knowledge and Skills Required: Qualifications: Law degree or another acceptable academic qualification. Solicitor's Practising Certificate.

Technical Expertise: Knowledge of Wills, Trusts, Probate Law, and Inheritance Tax planning. Commitment to ongoing learning to stay updated with legal developments.

Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with clients clearly and empathetically, addressing sensitive issues with tact. Proficiency in both verbal and written communication, ensuring plain English is used to avoid jargon.

Organizational Skills: Well-organized, with a disciplined approach to case management and a willingness to adhere to, and enhance, office procedures.
