Head of the Private Client Department The Role

A Private Client specialist with 5-6 years PQE to join our well-established team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner who wishes to progress their career further and grow within the firm. Our Wills Trusts and Probate Team has seen significant growth and quality in instructions due to the firm’s commitment to exceptional standards in client care. In our quest to maintain high standards, we have an opening for an excellent fee earner who is as passionate as we are about protecting our clients’ interests. The successful candidate will work closely with the head of the department and other members of the team, delivering high-quality services in all work types within the Private Client department. Candidates will be expected to have substantive experience in Will writing, Probate, Admin of Estates, and Trusts. An advantage would be prior experience of managing complex high net worth estates. Core Duties

Providing detailed inheritance tax and estate planning advice for Wills and Trusts Advising on the application of agricultural and business property reliefs where necessary Advising on various tax reliefs applicable to trusts and estates Drafting types of Trust provisions for testamentary and Inter vivos trusts Taking instructions for complex Wills and drafting provisions to reflect clients’ objectives Dealing with administration of estates and trusts, preparing returns to HMRC for probate Taking instructions, drafting LPAs, and dealing with registration Contributing to marketing our services and the firm’s corporate objectives Qualifications

The candidate must be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 5 to 6 years PQE and a proven track record of extensive and relevant experience. STEP qualified or STEP accredited is an advantage. Skills
