Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Private Client Solicitor (or equivalent) to join our growing team in Cheshire. In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload of high-quality private client matters, ranging from wills and estate planning to complex probate cases. You will also play a vital role in fostering client relationships and contributing to the growth of the firm's private client practice. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional development and career progression. While some hybrid working options are available, the role requires regular in-office attendance due to its client-focused nature. Key Responsibilities Case Management : Handle a wide range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney, and estate planning, ensuring efficient progression and high standards of client care. Client Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering tailored advice and excellent customer service. Legal Drafting : Prepare and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. Estate Administration : Manage probate applications, estate administration, and complex cases involving high-value or cross-border issues. Team Supervision : Oversee and support junior team members, ensuring high-quality work and compliance with professional standards. Business Development : Participate in networking and marketing activities to attract new clients and foster growth within the private client department. Compliance and Risk Management : Adhere to the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct and the firm’s policies, maintaining confidentiality and security of all documentation. Training and Development : Engage in personal development and contribute to the training of colleagues as required. What We’re Looking For Qualifications : Qualified Solicitor/practitioner with a current practicing certificate in England and Wales. Experience : A minimum of two to three years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client law, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration. Technical Expertise : Strong knowledge of private client law and experience handling complex cases. Skills : Exceptional communication, organizational, and negotiation skills; proficiency in case management systems and legal databases; commercial awareness and the ability to manage files effectively, including financial aspects; proven ability to supervise and mentor team members.
