On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Family Solicitor to join their team on a contract basis to cover maternity leave, although this role may become permanent in time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Private Family Law, with expertise in areas such as private child arrangement orders, non-molestation orders, divorce and separation, financial disclosures, and settlements. The role will also involve advocacy work and a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities: Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, including private child arrangement orders, non-molestation orders, and divorce/separation cases. Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients regarding financial disclosures and settlements, ensuring their best interests are represented. Conduct advocacy work in court, effectively representing clients in hearings and proceedings. Draft and review legal documents, including applications, affidavits, and settlement agreements. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering empathetic support throughout their legal journeys. Stay informed of changes in family law and related legal practices to provide up-to-date advice. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team initiatives to enhance client service and business development. Qualifications and Skills: Qualified Solicitor with a strong focus on Private Family Law and proven experience in handling relevant cases. In-depth knowledge of family law matters, including child arrangements, non-molestation orders, and financial settlements. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to advocate effectively in court. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently.
