Our client is a specialist manufacturer within electronics. Working on complex products for a variety of industries such as Oil and Gas, Industrial and Instrumentation. They have been on a continued period of growth and are looking to add to their existing team.

Main accountabilities and responsibilities:

You will play a key part in enhancing and optimising manufacturing processes, key responsibilities include:

• Process Design & Control duties within an SMT setting.

• Supporting new product and process development projects.

• Managing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers for all products.

• Leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives, focusing on material flow optimisation, waste reduction, and the Visual Factory.

• Driving continuous improvement projects to improve product quality and reduce cycle times.

• Maintaining departmental documentation and standards.

• Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ISO compliance and other initiatives.

• Collaborating with personnel at all levels to gain expertise in products and processes.

Must have:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Will consider qualified by experience.

• Proven manufacturing experience in Process Design and Control Engineering.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 6S, and FMEA to drive continuous improvement.

• Experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) beneficial but will consider experienced Process Engineers from other sectors.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

Working hours:

You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 07:45-16:15 and Friday, 07:45-13:15.

Please note this role will be site based.
