Southampton, Hampshire Job Summary for Process Engineer:

Due to company success and growth, a precision manufacturing client of ours has created a new role within the engineering department for a Process Engineer to join them. This is an exciting opportunity as it will heavily involve new product introduction, being a mixture of traditional engineering disciplines and CAD (3D modelling & simulations achieving right first-time). The ideal candidate will have experience in a Manufacturing Engineer/Methods Engineer/Process Engineer position, but our client is open to hiring a graduate with an engineering degree and will train them into the position (such as BEng in Mechanical Engineering). Ideal skills and experience for Process Engineer position: 2+ years' experience in a similar Manufacturing Engineer/Methods Engineer position Experience with CAD related software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor would be advantageous) Willingness to learn new manufacturing techniques and processes, as this will involve a lot of NPI Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) Experience within product feasibility will be advantageous Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Process Engineer Key Responsibilities: Working closely with cross-functional teams (production, quality, H&S, operations) Identifying and resolving integrity issues on new and existing products, thereby achieving right first-time samples and reducing scrap Developing and optimising manufacturing methods Utilising advanced simulation tools to model processes Identifying and addressing potential integrity issues ahead of production Continuously evaluating and improving methods to increase efficiency and reduce scrap waste Preparing detailed reports on casting simulations, integrity concerns, and process improvements Benefits/Other: 25 days holiday + bank holidays (annual leave is broken down into hours allowing employees to make the most of their time off when needed, out of the 25 days holiday 3-4 days will be held back for the Christmas shutdown) Professional development opportunities (which includes training courses on engineering packages) Onsite parking Auto-enrolment pension Drive to work scheme (discretionary but the company is willing to contribute to the cost of travel with an amount paid per mile) Embracing diversity in all its forms, our client is an equal opportunity employer.
