Key Duties and Responsibilities
The process engineer’s role is to support pre-production activities to ensure the project technical requirements are understood from bid stage through to release into production. This key role will support the sales, procurement, projects, QA, and technical functions within the business. Creation of engineering masters and Master Routing Templates Responsibility for Manufacturing Routings to Estimating Quotes corrections Drawing change management Sales/Estimating support including low-level technical reviews and manufacturing capabilities discussions with clients Review equipment and plant capability to meet customer order/BOM Provide manufacturing routing that meets customer contractual requirements Ensure efficient manufacturing process routing steps Ensure manufacturing routing packs carry all relevant drawings Ensure manufacturing routing information collaborates with correct revision drawings Liaise and communicate with other departments on customer requirements/specs/drawings and BOMS Prioritise workload in line with requirements Actively participate in meetings Desired Experience and Personal Qualities
Experience in Process Engineering, preferably in a weld clad overlay and machining environment Experience within a customer-focused organisation delivering continuous improvement Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills Self-motivated and innovative High level of organisational and planning skills Meets personal commitments Education and Training
