Koch Engineered Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer for our power process team. The process engineer is responsible for the detailed process design of our boiler burner solutions and supports the commercial, order execution and aftermarket service teams for our boiler burner product lines. We serve the refining, petrochemical, specialty and utility markets. Our Team The Power Process engineering team covers boiler burner applications for the Marine, Europe and Middle Eastern markets and is part of the integrated business team for Koch Engineered Solutions combustion business. The process engineer will work together with the local team but also have constant knowledge exchange with our global process team to find best solutions for our clients. What You Will Do Provide detailed process design of boiler burner systems (including all required components of a boiler burner solution). Support all our boiler burner products with the detailed process design. Support the commercial, execution and customer aftermarket service teams. Oversee our boiler burner products to support our clients over the complete lifetime of our installed equipment. Prepare process documents, such as detailed design calculations, equipment definition, performance predictions, control methodology, and contributing to the development of design standards and operating manuals. Participate in the project technical risk assessment, as well as commissioning, troubleshooting and operators training at the customer site. Be involved in the development of next generation boiler burner products including operating on future fuels (decarbonization) and technology to reduce industrial emissions. Participate in process and mechanical standardization efforts. Adapt to new technology and drive transformation of legacy products and services. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience in product design specific to customer projects or equivalent work experience. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering education background. Excellent communication skills. Strong adherence to compliance. Available to travel when needed. What Will Put You Ahead Process design experience with burners for process heaters or industrial boiler packages. Experience working with combustion equipment. Experience with working directly with international customers and suppliers. Experience in technical report writing and PC programming skills with Excel VBA, and capable of quickly learning new software systems.
