I am currently looking to speak with an engineer who will take up the position of Process Engineering Manager for our client based in Chorley. Salary:

£70,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Pension + Hybrid Candidate Industry Background:

Construction / Mining / Nuclear / Rail / Refinery / Chemical Company Background:

Client is a leading COMAH infrastructure business and operator of several critical UK energy sites, currently working on a number of new projects such as CCS / Hydrogen and alternative energy. Key Responsibilities: Ensure all process/technical team outputs meet project specifications and comply with regulatory safety standards. Supervise the creation of process system designs, reviewing deliverables such as technical specs, calculations (e.g., volumes, flow rates), design reports, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment lists/RFQs/selection. Lead design reviews to confirm systems meet project requirements. Review and approve all process/technical work scopes and specifications. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all related business activities. Accurately schedule and manage project resources, monitor task completion timelines, and support budget control within the assigned area. Request additional or adjusted resources as needed, ensuring timely response. Provide quote estimates and ensure tracking of awarded projects through the department. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (BEng Hons) in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Extensive experience in designing and delivering process systems. Proven track record in leading engineering teams for projects exceeding £5m in value. Deep understanding of construction and process industries, including relevant standards. Proficient in control system operating principles. Expertise in implementing Change Management, along with planning, managing, and reporting project tasks. Strong focus on detail, ensuring high-quality performance and output. Ability to logically structure project programs and allocate resources effectively. Skilled in identifying issues and implementing timely remedial actions in line with project/business needs.
