Job Description Opportunity for a Process Improvement Coordinator to join our rapidly growing Compounding Unit. With a strong emphasis on identifying potential process inefficiencies or obsolete processes from deviation management or through change management. The role will be responsible for implementing process implementation strategies and coordinating, leading, and reporting progress on deviation investigations, CAPA management and change management across the unit. This position will be part of the Process Improvement team, local CA/PA Review Board (CRB) as well as the local Change Control Review Board (CCRB), with the view to primarily focus on the Isolator unit. Actively use GMP recognised tools, problem solving skills and lean manufacturing techniques to identify and implement process improvement strategies for optimising resources, reducing waste and improving process efficiency critical to delivering success in this role. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm (with flexibility required for business needs). Duties and Responsibilities Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement across various departments and processes. Develop and lead cost saving projects aimed at optimising resources, reducing waste and improving process efficiency. Conduct training sessions and workshops of process improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen. Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to analyse and optimise end to end processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks and non-value-added activities. Collect and analyse process performance data to identify trends, root cause of inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Provide support for the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency. Develop process improvement tracker. Complete deviation investigation tools (root cause analysis, 5 why and fishbone diagrams) for local production and EHS problems. Participate in CA/PA Review Board meetings - where investigation progress and current activities are presented and approved. Participate in Change Control Review Board meetings - where change control progress and current activities are presented, and new proposed changes discussed. Establish relationships with site leadership, the QA/QMS team, and EHS Coordinator to collaboratively identify root causes and opportunities to improve. Work with the functional area to improve or develop standard operating procedures, documenting workflow and process steps. Apply recognised tools and methods to document, track and report investigation progress e.g. TrackWise. Understand EHS and emergency procedures and align with safe systems of work. Responsible to ensure timely completion of relevant deviation and complaint investigations to identify true root cause. Education and Experience Experience in manufacture (preferably in Aseptic, e.g. compounding). Proactive logical approach to problem solving applying lean manufacturing techniques. Proven understanding of the principles and guidelines for GMP as set out in the ‘Orange Guide’. Desirable experience in deviation management, corrective and preventative action identification and change management processes.
