Process Safety Engineer

Salary and Benefits of the Process Safety Engineer Annual Salary Up To 65,000 Generous Holiday Allowance (Increasing with Years of Service) Options to Buy and Sell Holidays Travel Expenses Paid Healthcare Plans Information about the Process Safety Engineer Role As the Process Safety Engineer, you will be joining a team of dynamic and experienced Engineers. This role is critical in maintaining high process safety standards across all operations whilst providing support to the Group SHE Manager on regulatory compliance matters - particularly those related to COMAH standards. Key Responsibilities of the Process Safety Engineer: Process Safety Management: Lead process safety reviews and assessments such as HAZOP, LOPA, and functional safety assessments in collaboration with the engineering and SHE teams. Ensure that safety management systems are implemented and maintained. Provide technical expertise in process safety to the Group SHE Manager and broader engineering team. Assist in maintaining compliance with COMAH and other regulatory requirements. Work closely with the Group SHE Manager to support communication and interactions with regulatory bodies such as the HSE and EA. Ensure the timely completion of actions arising from regulatory inspections and audits, as directed by the SHE team. Functional Safety & Compliance: Ensure that process safety systems, including Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), comply with BS EN 61508 and other relevant standards. Work with the SHE Team to address functional safety requirements across all sites. Essential Criteria for the Process Safety Engineer Education:
Degree qualified
in a related field Process Safety Expertise: Knowledge of
COMAH
Regulations and previous experience within
HAZOP, LOPA and PHR . Functional Safety: Experience with BS EN 61508 Safety Standards. Regulatory Knowledge of
