The Role The Process and Line Support Engineer position will assist in day-to-day plant operations, maintaining machines, validating programs, and ensuring production is always supported. You will be required to improve manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing continuous improvement techniques whilst maintaining a high level of quality.

Duties: Keep equipment operational by making first-level maintenance and first-level repairs and then by coordinating high-level maintenance and full repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures. Create, oversee, and update all maintenance logs in the department. Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for all production breakdown issues. Manage and lead continuous improvement projects. Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and stoppages. Manage a portfolio of projects directed at reducing waste and improving quality to provide greater value, using appropriate methodology. Implement a formal program that focuses on reducing process and product variation. Validate machine programs. Maintain programs on programmable equipment. Undertake responsibility for oven profiling. Other relevant duties as required.

The Candidate Hands-on approach to all tasks/mechanically minded. BEng graduation would be advantageous. Understanding and implementing process improvement. At least 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering role. Knowledge of ERP/MRP. Experience in SMD and Through Hole PCB assembly is essential. Able to read electrical drawings, assembly drawings, and technical notes. Ability to read and thoroughly understand technical manuals and documents. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Salary The salary offered for this position is £30,000- £40,000 depending on whether a candidate can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
