ABOUT THE JOB You will ideally be based in the Harrogate/Leeds area. We are searching for a Procurement Assistant to join our busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of substantial growth for the company through driving value from keeping the system updated and working with the Hotels and our procurement partners (Hilton Supplier management). You will be working remotely; however, there may be a requirement to travel to our hotels occasionally or attend meetings with your line manager. You will liaise with Central colleagues, Ops Directors, and hotel management & finance teams. This is a 20-hour part-time role with flexible working hours, ideally five days a week from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. JOB PURPOSE Price Management: Updating pricing within the system, ensuring supplier updates align with contracted pricing. Supplier Onboarding: Collaborate with hotels to onboard suppliers to the purchasing Portal/EDI. System Training: Provide training and guidance to colleagues on the effective use of the purchasing system. Purchasing Analysis: Conduct reviews of purchasing activities, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and best value purchases. Compliance and Best Practices: Conduct reviews of purchasing system compliance and best practices across hotels. Price Analysis and Comparison: Perform commercial price analysis and comparison based on received quotations, preparing summaries as needed. Supplier Implementation: Collaborate with procurement partners to implement new pricing and suppliers’ agreements as required. COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED Experience within a Hotel group. Flexible & adaptable to different working conditions. Computer Knowledge: Ideally Procure Wizard software or similar. Strong communication skills. Experience working with multiple stakeholders and building relationships. Financial and commercial acumen.
