An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Assistant to join a well-established fire and security services provider.

This role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £25,000 - £28,000.

As a Procurement Assistant, you will manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to support engineering operations.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Preparing and managing purchase orders in line with company policies. Monitoring order progress to ensure on-time delivery and resolving any issues. Negotiating with suppliers to secure favourable pricing and quality. Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships while sourcing new suppliers as needed. Monitoring and managing stock levels in the warehouse and engineering van stock. Conducting regular inventory checks and addressing discrepancies. Assisting with procurement budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Managing returns for faulty or unwanted items within required timeframes. Preparing and analysing procurement reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

What we are looking for: Ideally have worked as a Procurement Assistant, Buying Assistant, Buyer, Purchaser, Procurement Executive, Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Executive, Buying Executive or in a similar role. A keen interest in procurement and supply chain processes. Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers effectively. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. A commitment to maintaining a high level of organisation and health and safety compliance.
