South West England About the Role A leading organization is seeking a talented and driven Category Manager to join its Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement of goods, works, or services for the organization. You will develop and implement category management strategies, ensuring that we get the best value for our money while also supporting sustainability initiatives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and identify opportunities to improve the procurement process. You will also develop and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance. This is a challenging and rewarding role for someone with a passion for procurement and a commitment to delivering value for the organization. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement category management strategies:

This includes conducting market research, analysing supplier performance, and negotiating contracts. Ensure continuity of supply:

This involves identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, and developing contingency plans. Advise internal stakeholders on procurement matters:

This includes providing guidance on procurement policies and procedures, and helping stakeholders to identify and meet their procurement needs. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency:

This involves identifying and implementing cost-saving measures, and improving procurement processes. Build relationships with suppliers:

This involves developing strong relationships with suppliers, and working with them to improve performance and reduce costs. Manage commercial and legislative risk:

This involves ensuring that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., business, supply chain management) Experience in procurement or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Seniority level
