An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Coordinator to join our team in the Bristol Head Office. Responsible for purchasing materials and equipment for Shield, this role is supported by the Group Procurement Manager. Main Duties include: Initiating purchase requests and keeping track of the order until receipt and payment; Ensuring that goods purchased are to specification in terms of quality, quantity and delivery and advising on those suppliers who fail to meet specifications; Ensuring that price variations are communicated to the relevant parties as quickly and effectively as possible; Updating the team about any delays or problems with suppliers; Assisting in the selection process of suppliers concerning Company requirements surrounding quality, price and service levels; Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers; Liaising with other departments to maximize the benefits of bulk purchases and to determine their product and service needs; Maintaining records of supplier contracts; Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results; Conducting cost/quality comparisons; Preparing ad hoc reports and project work as required. Qualifications & Experience: Smart Appearance; Excellent telephone manner; Punctual; Highly Organized; Thorough Attention to Detail; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Able to prioritize work whilst working under pressure; Ability to be flexible and open to changes. Other Qualities & Requirements: Knowledge of procurement processes, procedures and purchasing systems; Experience working in a purchasing office. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
