Wednesday, 15th Jan 2025 Prince are recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator to provide support to the existing procurement department within a prestigious, global manufacturing business. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will need to be comfortable working under pressure. This is a long-term client of ours which is genuinely a great place to work and a well-established Telford business, with a really supportive team of staff and some flexi-time options. This role will require a dynamic, experienced Procurement professional who is able to undertake a wide range of tasks, and in return get to be part of an experienced and supportive team working for a leading, global manufacturing business. The Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for: Supporting activities around procurement for both direct and indirect commodities Assisting with materials planning and the placement of purchase orders for direct materials for manufacturing Obtaining PO approvals Ensuring MRP/ERP system is kept up to date with procurement data Expediting orders Supporting with indirect procurement activities Supporting with managing any supplier performance issues Skills and Experience: Must be experienced in a Purchasing role with experience from a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering organisation Computer literate – previous experience on Excel and/or an ERP or MRP system would be advantageous Previous experience in procuring raw materials for production High attention to detail and accuracy Confident and deals well with pressure in a fast-paced environment Experience in indirect categories would be beneficial but is not essential as support will be provided Previous roles could include Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Coordinator / Buyer / Assistant Buyer / Purchasing Administrator The application process: Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce.
