Procurement Engineer
to join a Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their career in the nuclear sector. The team supports key clients in managing their nuclear fleet across the UK. The position is based at
A Nuclear Power Station
and involves supporting multiple projects within a UK-wide portfolio, including existing generation, nuclear defueling, nuclear new build, and nuclear decommissioning. Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage the technical/quality aspects of the site's spares and equipment catalogue. Develop procurement specifications in collaboration with technical specialists and buyers. Ensure compliance with all required standards and arrangements for plant spares and services and assist in resolving quality and technical issues. Monitor and provide advice on shelf-life extensions and plant refurbishment activities. Address obsolescence issues, including reverse engineering, and conduct QC and store hold inspections. Provide advice and input for procurement engineering training while supporting the materials planning process. Demonstrate working knowledge of AP928 and the Work Management Process. Represent the Supply Chain at station and corporate meetings. Qualifications
Educated to a minimum HNC level in an engineering discipline. Sound working knowledge of technical and quality assurance arrangements. Familiarity with standards related to the procurement of spare parts and commercial awareness. Strong credibility to represent the supply chain group. Flexible working approach, including supplier and business unit visits, to support continuous improvement.
