The Marketing Procurement Lead role is responsible for Procurement of all Marketing requirements for Morrisons. Sub-categories include Media, Retail Media, Insight & Data, Creative, ‘Martech’, Print & Production, PR.
You will be a trusted asset to the Marketing function. You’ll utilise your Procurement experience and category-specific expertise to ensure best-practice category strategy, contracting and supplier relationship management (SRM), with a key role in supporting our competitive advantage and profitability by obtaining great value goods and services in line with business goals.
You will lead end-to-end initiatives, designing strategic and robust solutions to drive commercial benefit, sustainably.
Always acting as a trusted advisor to our five stakeholder groups, customers, colleagues, suppliers, shareholders and communities, you will build a pipeline for future improvements within the category.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining a close, trusted business partnership with the Marketing function.
- Line management of category specialist, with further responsibility for best-in-class delivery by various consultancies and intermediaries operating within the category.
- Ensuring delivery of detailed, forward-looking 3-year category plans, which are co-created and agreed with stakeholders, aligned to the wider business objectives and regularly reviewed to respond to changing business needs and market opportunities.
- Supporting stakeholders and our Supplier Managers with supplier relationship strategies, supporting strategic reviews and developing and maintaining joint supplier plans with stakeholders
- Working actively to manage non-contractual spend throughout the stakeholder base and ensuring best practice through continued training and support
- Positively influence policy and drive continuous improvement across the category
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and inspire confidence in others around you when faced with uncertainty and change.
This is a hybrid role, operating over a four-and-a-half-day working week. This role is based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

- Strong experience in working with and drafting complex contracts, in collaboration with Legal
- The ability to embrace a fast-paced and ambiguous retail environment, taking the initiative to drive results at pace
