About the Role As Procurement Manager you will lead the procurement and strategic sourcing of IT-related products and services. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation achieves the best value, quality, and efficiency in its procurement activities. While IT will be your primary focus, you will also lead procurement projects across other categories as needed. Working closely with the Assistant Director of Procurement, you will help shape and implement procurement policies and processes, ensuring that all contracts for technology, facilities, and professional services deliver excellent value and support the University’s goals, including its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. What You’ll Do: Category Strategy Development : Designing and implementing strategies for the IT category to drive value, efficiency, and cost savings. Market Analysis : Monitoring industry trends and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions. Supplier Management : Building strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing performance. Procurement Oversight : Managing procurement processes, ensuring compliance with policies and standards. Cost Management : Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service. Stakeholder Collaboration : Partnering with internal teams to align procurement strategies with organisational needs. Risk Management : Identifying and mitigating risks in the supply chain. Reporting and Analysis : Preparing and presenting detailed performance reports, including spend analysis and supplier metrics. ESG Support : Driving initiatives to enhance the University’s ESG agenda. What You’ll Bring: Proven experience in procurement or category management, with a focus on IT products and services. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. A collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent time management, organisational, and multitasking skills. A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Job Types:
