We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement manager looking to bring procurement innovation to Chesterfield Borough Council. Working as part of a procurement team you’ll be an exceptional people manager, able to motivate, influence and drive procurement improvements throughout the council. You will be a dynamic self-starter, highly capable of enhancing relationships with stakeholders to drive productive collaboration and effective forward planning to manage non-pay spend activity within the context of public procurement regulations. The post-holder will be an integral part of the team working with budget holders and senior managers to develop innovative procurement strategies, for a diverse range of procurement categories, which identify efficiencies and directorate savings that bring quantifiable benefits back to the borough. This is an exciting opportunity which will enable you to challenge yourself personally and professionally as an integral and valued member of the Chesterfield Borough Council team. The role is full-time and offered on a graded pay scale with maximum potential earning of £47,754 per annum. However, there could be the opportunity to offer a supplement for the right candidate who demonstrates exceptional skills and experience.
