Procurement Manager

to be responsible for all aspects of procurement for the company's UK business, applying strategic and agile thinking to fully exploit opportunities across the group. The Procurement Manager will lead and manage a purchasing team, leveraging data-driven insights to optimise spend and maximise value. Duties: Lead and manage the purchasing and logistics teams, including setting departmental and personal objectives. Ensure all imports and exports are transacted and are fully compliant with UK regulations. Determine robust sourcing strategies for existing and new products or services. Develop effective commercial partnerships with key strategic suppliers. Oversee the development and introduction of new products, ensuring appropriate supplier involvement. Participate in the development of contract bids. Drive continuous performance improvement in all areas of supply chain performance, including logistics. Travel within the UK and overseas is required and is considered a regular feature of this role. Skills: HNC / Degree or equivalent in a technical or business-related subject is required. Senior CIPS membership preferred. Experience within a purchasing or commercial role at Executive Management level is essential. Evidence of implementing large and complex product or service contracts with appropriate contractual agreements. Demonstrate experience and understanding of MRP, kanban, contract law, risk management, negotiation, and working within a change culture organisation. Excellent communication skills with proven experience of presenting at Director level. Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Hours of work are 7.30-4.00 Monday to Thursday with ½ hour lunch and 7.30 to 12.30 Friday. Stakeholder pension scheme. Life assurance.
