Anderson Knight is currently recruiting a Procurement Manager on a full-time permanent basis for one of our clients based in Glasgow.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role will involve strategic planning, negotiation, and collaboration with various departments to meet the company’s operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency. Manage and optimise the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management. Lead supplier selection and performance evaluation to ensure high-quality and reliable supply. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement activities with business goals. Monitor market trends and conduct risk assessments to inform procurement decisions. Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess inventory. Prepare and present procurement reports, including cost analysis and supplier performance metrics. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Mentor and develop procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa). Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is highly desirable.
