We are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to join our non Clinical IT Team and our Clinical Sourcing Team to provide a customer centric service to drive the sourcing of value for money products and services to support the delivery of high quality clinical care to our patients.
The successful candidates will have the flexibility to be based at either in Royal United Hospitals in Bath, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust or Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Swindon.
Main duties of the job
The non clinical role will cover Informatics and Corporate Services Category - from sourcing through to contract management.
The procurement manager in this role will be required to maintain a personal knowledge base, which reflects current research and development, and disseminate information, where appropriate. The post holder will develop and maintain relationships with clinical colleagues to ensure that patient safety is ensured and risks are minimised through best practice and by the procurement of products that are evidenced based. Through the development of these relationships the procurement manager will liaise with decision makers and end-users to help identify new schemes in pursuit of cost reduction objectives.

Fully conversant with Public Sector Procurement Rules
Experience of buying capital or Informatics category
Evidence of working with wide range of stakeholders
Able to work independently
Project Management Experience/Working to deadlines
Desirable criteria
Previously worked in a commercial NHS Environment
Relevant degree
Qualifications
Essential criteria
Significant relevant procurement experience
Obtained level 4 or Working towards MCIPS
Supervisory Experience
Evidence of working collaboratively
