Team Overview Our Professional Support, Operations team, is a newly created function within our Professional Support team. The Operations team focus on all operational aspects of Buzzacott, guiding its processes, controls and overall effectiveness. With over 600 employees, the team ensures its processes align with the evolving needs of the business and its people. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager in this newly created role, who will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods, services and contracts for Buzzacott. This role will be pivotal in ensuring optimised supplier performance, best practice, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Please note, we are open to applications from individuals who can commit to either a full or part-time basis. Key Responsibilities Create, develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders to understand their needs from a product and service viewpoint. Manage the direction and coordination of our procurement needs, evaluating on a continuous basis. Create policies and procedures for risk management with continuous evaluation on fit for purpose. Sourcing and managing suppliers, monitoring their performance, ensuring they are meeting the needs of the business, as well as negotiating current contracts with vendors and suppliers. Regularly assess all processes and recommend improvements for efficiency. Undertake a full risk assessment of ongoing contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring they meet relevant regulations and firm policies. Collect and analyse relevant data to ensure the firm is making the most efficient decisions in line with objectives, as well as providing timely reporting to the Head of Operations. Skills and Experience Demonstrable experience of Procurement management, ideally in a professional environment. Experience in an accountancy firm is preferred. Strong negotiation skills. Organised and able to multi-task with attention to detail. Good communication skills (written and verbal) with a professional manner. Strong interpersonal skills. A certification in procurement such as CIPS is preferred. The role requires someone to be organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage teams effectively by fostering relationships with team members, colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders.
