As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join our team at our Castleford, West Yorkshire offices, moving location to Garforth in Early 2025. As the Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the procurement of materials, concrete, and aggregates for our construction projects valuing from GBP50k - GBP4m. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced professional to lead the buying function and contribute to the success of our ambitious growth plans. Within our close-knit team, hierarchy takes a back seat. You'll have the autonomy to oversee projects from start to finish, and your input will be valued at every stage. Responsibilities: Lead the procurement process for all materials, concrete, and aggregates required for groundworks projects. Collaborate with Site Managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly. Source and evaluate suppliers to establish reliable partnerships and secure competitive pricing. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent product quality and on-time deliveries. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favorable terms. Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality standards. Requirements: Extensive experience in buying materials for groundworks and civils projects. Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. Strong negotiation skills. Driven and a proactive team player. IT skills, Excel, and knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software would be an advantage.
