PROCUREMENT MANAGER Haddenham, UK or Peterborough, UK MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Translating category strategies into action to maximize business value.

Close cooperation with the global buyer to support strategies and their implementation. Collaborating cross functionally to participate in optimization projects in terms of cost, quality, service and innovation. Identify and deliver Continuous Cost Improvement opportunities for these categories.

Business intimacy with regional stakeholders’ team to drive growth agenda and customer needs.

Support innovation and business development through successful new product development delivery. Use reporting tools and communicate regularly on the progress of projects to ensure successful execution of agreed procurement strategies.

Promotes high level of leading supply excellence to enable every day great execution.

Manage supplier performance against agreed objectives, putting in place corrective actions where necessary. Support the Peterborough Site business as local key contact for all EMEA buyers in the respective category team for Flavour Solutions business unit.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study required. Experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience. Experience in project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects. Proven experience and results on major cost savings initiatives. Knowledge of industries and technical awareness in assigned categories will be valued. McCormick product and business knowledge. Knowledge of Company priorities and strategic direction. Ability to deal with diverse and sometimes conflicting priorities. Evidence of maturity, collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills, influencing ability. Efficient, results and reporting orientated. Confident and change orientated, and comfortable within a matrix management structure in a multinational environment. COMPANY
