Procurement Manager

Our client in Poole are seeking a proactive and strategic-thinking Procurement Manager to join the senior team. The ideal candidate will be a tenacious and driven individual with a proven track record in procurement and supply chain management. This role will involve managing tender processes, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities as Procurement Manager

Lead the procurement function, including supplier selection, tender management, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and efficient purchasing processes. Manage one direct report and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure supply chain reliability. Purchase products and materials required to support manufacturing. Prepare and manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and spending plans. Coordinate supplier delivery plans and requirements to support production and operational needs. Expedite purchase and subcontract orders to meet project timelines. Utilise MRP systems for effective inventory management and purchasing decisions. Qualifications and experience as Procurement Manager

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or related field. Proven experience in a similar procurement management role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to drive favorable contract terms. Solid technical background with proficiency in procurement processes and supplier relationship management. Experience in tender management, bid evaluation, and contract management. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs. Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic procurement planning. Familiarity with MRP systems and supply chain best practices. Benefits for Procurement Manager
