We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join the Tesco Property Procurement Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering strategic development, planning and sourcing initiatives, which drives value for money and efficiencies throughout the procurement lifecycle.

You will be responsible for

Delivering high savings targets through implementation of robust sourcing events, ensuring that suppliers meet all operational requirements whilst providing best value for Tesco.

Through influence and challenge, develop strong working collaborations with partners to support, endorse and deliver sub-category plans aligned to category procurement strategies to realise business savings and support innovation.

Build and deliver sub-category plans aligned to category plans by being innovative and collaborative with various cross-functional partners.

Consistently supervise and report on savings targets for specified sub-categories using the agreed process.

Using good judgement, build new and develop existing supplier relationships to ensure continued suitability and create greater value across the organisation.

Support the business to achieve compliance with legal, ethical and safety procurement policies with integrity and good judgment.

You will need

Experience of leading large categories within large scale organisations is crucial.

Procurement management and negotiation skills, experience of handling extensive multi-million pound sourcing events.

Capability to lead sophisticated projects, driving innovation and standard methodology through others.

Cross-functional working and partner engagement. Strong influencing skills.

Supplier relationship and performance management skills.

Category planning skills, capability to build and implement strategies.

High level of commercial competence.

Contract management skills.
