As a Procurement Manager, you will supervise the day-to-day operations of the procurement team to achieve key results in support of the business and the company’s external supply chain. You’ll be responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and risk management for your segment of the supply chain and ensure their alignment with the achievement of the company’s key results. This is a key position in Ontic which allows forward planning of spend, establishes strong relationships with our suppliers, whilst supporting the business desire for continuous improvement of business-level processes. You will develop and drive strategy, partnering with legal and contract teams at Ontic to negotiate contract solutions that support business KPIs and mitigate the risk of supply. In addition, you’ll develop the supplier base through performance monitoring, improvement plans, and supplier risk mitigation plans. You’ll identify, rationalize, and create strategies for the supply chain based on supplier competency and value for the respective commodities/sub commodities. What will you need to know? Experience in commodity management, procurement management, or a senior technical buying role is required. This will ideally be from an Aerospace background, but we welcome applications from individuals experienced in manufacturing, service, or maintenance businesses. You’ll need to be commercially minded, with the ability to deliver “outside of the box” solutions to commercial problems. You’ll have excellent communication skills, with the ability to present your identified solutions for stakeholder approval. You’ll need to be confident in making decisions and possess excellent negotiation and organizational skills. Strong IT skills with knowledge of ERP systems (Visual and/or Syteline ERP experience is preferred, but not essential) are also necessary. This role will require travel to our suppliers both nationally and internationally. Benefits Overview Ontic monitors the market to ensure competitive salaries and benefits packages to support your work-life balance. Beyond the standard 26 days holiday with the option to buy more, a pension scheme, and free parking, you’ll also be provided with access to mental health support, professional financial advice, and a range of discounts from well-known retailers. Financial benefits are only the start of a career with Ontic; being employee-centric and focused on development, there are many opportunities for you to develop and grow. We are a fast-paced business with ambitious growth plans; if you are dedicated, enthusiastic, and always seeking ways to improve, you'll enjoy a career with us!
