Procurement Manager - Transport
Location: Cullompton
At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Procurement Manager - Transport at our Cullompton site.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the full procurement lifecycle for fleet, fuels, tyres, parts, MHE and company cars (total spend £120m per year). Develop category strategies and an opportunity pipeline to deliver bottom line business benefit. Lead all strategic sourcing activity to mitigate risk and implement solutions for competitive advantage. Support the fleet team with the group's decarbonisation journey, delivering on our net zero ambitions (net zero by 2038) through alternative fuels. Stay informed on market developments such as product enhancements and refuelling infrastructure. Embed the Supplier Relationship Management framework with key strategic suppliers. Support Finance Business Partners with budget preparation and maintenance of the cost file for tender responses. Monitor whole life costs of assets to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership. Deputise for the Head of Procurement at key internal and external meetings when required.
Essential Skills: Proven experience in a similar senior procurement role. In-depth knowledge of the responsible spend areas. Experience in fleet procurement and supplier management. Effective leadership and influencer skills with experience in stakeholder engagement at Senior Management level. Excellent IT skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. MCIPS or working towards it. UK Driving Licence is essential.
