About the role
The University of Bath (UoB) is embarking on the next stage of its digital transformation journey. A key part of this is to transform the delivery of technology services. This work includes routine operations within DDaT, the Data Project, Digital Transformation Programme (DTP) and DDaT project portfolio. These changes do not impact on the work of this position.
The IT Procurement Officer will organise the day-to-day operations of the IT Procurement team including raising Purchase Orders. They will ensure customer satisfaction and timely processing of hardware and software support requests, allocating work to IT Procurement staff and ensuring ticket queues do not exceed agreed service levels. An understanding of software licensing is helpful but not essential, as guidance and support will be provided.
A key part of the role will be maintaining IT Procurement documentation and ensuring key information is available to stakeholders.

Proficient in organising tasks effectively and adept in handling numerical data with precision and accuracy.
Approaches work with meticulous attention to detail.
Skilled in managing tight deadlines and multiple workloads simultaneously.
Displays effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates a nuanced approach in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Competent using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint).
Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.
Able to work within a team and independently when required.

This role is offered on a full time basis (36.5 hours per week) covering maternity leave with an expected end date of 06/03/2026 or the early return of the post holder.
