Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to work within the dynamic team to support managers and staff across the Medicines Procurement & Efficiencies in their procurement of medicines. You will play a pivotal role in delivering cost-effective and sustainable medicines procurement solutions while working closely with NHS Pharmacy, Procurement and Pharmaceutical Industry colleagues. You should have public sector procurement experience, including coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments, ideally gained within the NHS or Healthcare sector. Role Scope:

Full time hours - 37.5 per week A fixed-term agreement for 12 months Hybrid working pattern with weekly visits to the London Office: Wellington House, 133-155 Waterloo Rd, London SE1 8UG .

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the delivery of the medicines framework agreement tendering programme, on behalf of the NHS, in compliance with Public Contracts regulations. Project leading or supporting each tender as appropriate. Supporting the co-ordination and management of supply issues. Effectively manage sourcing and procurement processes that translate into robust procurement projects that comply with procurement guidance and legal frameworks. Develop relationships with strategic providers to maintain delivery performance and a good working knowledge of changing market conditions.

Knowledge & Skills:

Professional qualification in procurement (e,g CIPS). Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, including NHS or Public Sector frameworks. You will have experience in a procurement environment, ideally gained within the NHS. You will be a clear communicator with excellent negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills. Understanding of the NHS Commissioning landscape would be advantageous. You will be skilled in communicating on complex matters that may require persuasion and influence.
