Imperial Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for one of our key clients based in Leeming Bar who are looking for a Procurement Planner to support their own growing team on a full time - permanent basis.

Duties:

Build good working relationships with production and process colleagues to aid day-to-day activities. Preparing and issuing purchase orders according to company purchasing policies and procedures. Confirm purchase orders with vendors including delivery date, quantity, etc. Track and expedite purchase orders by working with suppliers, carriers, etc. Maintain purchase orders within SAP so the system holds the latest details and supports operational plans. Build good work relationships with suppliers and other cross-functional team members. Calculate packaging quantities from production plans and place orders with suppliers using MRP. Ensure accurate parameters are reflected in SAP and regularly reviewed to achieve optimum materials inventory holding within the network. Proactively identify slow moving and obsolete material risks, report and follow up by closely working with other functional teams. Regularly check for potential stock-outs due to purchasing delivery delay. Ensure material supply levels are within agreed min/max levels to meet the daily production requirements. Take ownership of procurement of bespoke materials. Challenge suppliers on invoice errors. React to issues on a daily basis created both internally and from suppliers. Forecasting based on customer and business requirements. Attend daily operations/planning meetings, weekly production meetings. Provide procurement and planning support for colleagues when required. Develop positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly Planning, Customer Accounts, NPD and Technical Projects team. This role will be office based; however, the need to occasionally take a call out of hours or on a weekend to make decisions may be required. Requirements:

Strong organisation and communication skills. Good computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel, as you will be accurately updating and maintaining documents and systems. Ability to multitask workloads. Good knowledge of SAP. Excellent time management. Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
