We are exclusively working with a packaging manufacturer who is looking for a Procurement/Purchasing Manager to join the team, based in Crewe.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing from approved suppliers and procuring various printed and non-printed consumables. Negotiate with raw material suppliers an agreed delivery schedule to enable production demand to be met. Ensure effective communication with suppliers and assist with price negotiations. Control all raw material stocks to optimum levels and maintain accuracy of each specific product. Establish, maintain and co-ordinate all outwork activities with external suppliers. Allocate all raw materials to enable each order to be completed by the indicated delivery date. Present accurate reporting information to the Financial Director and assist with budget information as and when required. Always ensure adherence to the Company's Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures and maintain compliance with appropriate standards. The quality management system has been designed and developed to meet the requirements of ISO9001, PS9000, BRC, FSC and PEFC. Carry out work safely in the interests of other employees and themselves, in compliance with current legislation and Company Environmental, Health & Safety procedures, including general housekeeping. IT Skills e.g., Excel. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Able to communicate effectively. Worked with ERP systems previously. Salary & Benefits
£40,000 - £45,000+ (DOE) Days Role - Monday to Friday 8:15am - 4:30pm
