Collaborate with other NHS trusts, Hubs and regional/national bodies in establishing relationships to procure goods and services where joint commitment will yield enhanced value for money. Identify and implement savings opportunities which will deliver efficiencies to the Trust via cost reduction, cost avoidance, demand management or improvements to quality. Take responsibility for the negotiation of contracts/purchase agreements for goods and services not covered by existing formalised arrangements, where appropriate inviting quotations and tenders on behalf of the Trust. Support improvements to the delivery of key performance criteria for the department including Model Hospital metrics and Lord Carter metrics. Support the delivery of national initiatives via NHS Impact, NHS England and Department of Health or others, including delivery of the Procurement Target Operating Model and National Contracted Products Audits supplier performance and develops value for money process improvements on a recurring basis, sharing findings with colleagues and other Confederations, GPS and NHS agencies. Qualifications
4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply (CIPS), or actively studying towards Degree and/ or an appropriate professional qualification A number of demonstrable years experience within a buying role including formal tendering.
